Survivor Scholarship Program

The Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship Program is available to young adults living in Canada. The Program supports post-secondary academic endeavors and recognizes the personal triumphs of exemplary young adults who have survived a cancer journey.

We now offer TWO types of Scholarships for Childhood Cancer Survivors:

$1,500 Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship (one time award) for up to 75 students in any university, college or vocational training program (entering any year of studies when scholarships are awarded in September)

$5,000 Teva Canada Scholarship (one time award) for up to 10 students in pharmacy, medicine or health sciences.

 

A. Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship

Value: $1,500

Up to 75 Scholarships available in 2011

Eligibility

Open to young adults who fit the following criteria:

  • Have been treated for (or still in treatment for) childhood cancer (letter required from attending physician or family doctor)
  • Are residents of Canada
  • Will be entering a Canadian post-secondary institution in 2011 (attendance confirmation required)

Note: if your application is successful, name, photo and extracts of your application letter may be posted on the Foundation website and shared with your "adoptive sponsor"

B. Teva Canada Scholarship for Childhood Cancer Survivors

Our friends at Teva Canada Limited continue their support of our work at the Foundation with an exciting new program. In 2011, they will sponsor up to 10 new scholarships for childhood cancer survivors who are entering (or who are already in) pharmacy or medicine or health sciences training.

Value: $5,000

Up to 10 Scholarships available in 2011

Eligibility

Open to young adults who fit the following criteria:

  • Have been treated for (or still in treatment for) childhood cancer (letter required from attending physician or family doctor)
  • Are residents of Canada
  • Will be entering or who are in a Canadian university in the fields of pharmacy, medicine or health-sciences training in 2011 (attendance confirmation required)

Note: if your application is successful, name, photo and extracts of your application letter may be posted on the Foundation website and shared with your "adoptive sponsor"

Note: If you received a Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship for an undergraduate program prior to 2011 you are encouraged to apply for the Teva Canada Scholarship in any health-related graduate field, including pharmacy.
