Blogs

Do you want to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with others? If so, start a Blog (short for "weB LOG") an online diary that you keep updated. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to http://www.blogger.com . You will find complete instructions on how to set it up (choosing templates, how to post comments, etc.) You do not need any special software to do a blog, and there is no charge for blogging. Your blog will be "hosted" on the free blogspot.com web site.
  2. Start writing in your blog.
  3. Once you've made several entries, tell us the blog name and address, and we'll provide a direct link to it from here. (Note: only blogs that are relevant to other teens with cancer will be linked.)
  4. Others will then find your blog and connect with you!

Canada is vast , so we can't hope to get teens together face-to-face, but we can facilitate contact. We can also help get them in touch with organizations such as Rebounders (www.rebounders.ca) , and RealTime Cancer (www.realtimecancer.org) , where face-to-face can happen, depending on locations.

Our immediate focus is connection through the internet or telephone. In the longer term, the Foundation is working on an on-line database of teens willing to participate in a nation-wide connection program.
