Word
on the Street was held in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax.
Representatives from Candlelighters participated in each city. This
venue enabled Candlelighters to spread information about the organization
and particularly the resource centre. Thanks to everyone who helped
make this event such a success: Sandy Bessette, Ruth Morley, Hillary Esmond-White,
Ainsley McNeil-Campbell, Judy Smith and Arnold Beer. What a Team!!
Bell
Mobility invited Candlelighters to participate in the Toronto Street Festival.
We had games for children and with the help of Bell Canada employees we
were able to raise $1500! It was a great day and a great success.
