• Swish for the Cure:  April 29, 2007 
Elite Camps is hosting Swish for the Cure - a fun-filled day of basketball activities for 50 Ontario kids battling cancer.  (See the flyer/pledge form, or pledge directly). The goal is to raise $50,000 for childhood cancer research.  Your donation can help reach that goal and provide hope for a cure.

• Spokeman Tour
18 year old Tim Harriman lives in Airdrie, Alberta.  He is a childhood cancer survivor and this summer will become the "Spokeman" by cycling across Canada and telling people about childhood cancer.  He plans to visit many of the 17 children's hospitals on his journey, giving the children and their families inspiration and hope, and raising funds for childhood cancer research.  Visit www.spokemantour.com to learn more and to donate to the Spokeman Tour for Childhood Cancer.

• Mountain of Hope Campaign
13 year old mountaineer, Brandon Schupp,  became the youngest person in history to summit of 10,000 foot Good Hope Mountain in British Columbia.  He climbed for 10,000 kids in Canada who are currently battling cancer.  Brandon was recently honoured as a Reader's Digest Canadian Hero of 2006 in the Health category. • Scholarship Winners Announced
In 2006, we awarded our highest number of scholarships ever to young Canadian cancer survivors.  We congratulate them on their achievements, and celebrate with each one their second chance at life. To see this year's recipients, click here.

• Setting up a Web Site for a Child with Cancer
Many families use a web site as a way to keep their family and friends updated on their child's cancer journey. An easy way to do this, at no cost, is through www.caringbridge.org
