First Issue

Research Awards
The C17 Research Network of the Council of Canadian Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Directors (CCPHOD), using our Foundation’s funds, has awarded its first grants to Canadian researchers, both working at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.- Dr Yigal Dror: $41,500 per year for 2 years for his work on Inherited Marrow Failure Syndromes;
- Dr Lillian Sung: $17,000 for her work on Genetic Variations and the Risk of Infection in Canadian Children with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Under the inspired leadership of Ajona Asokumar, Nida Ahmad, Kyle Soman, Victoria Osteroff and Jonathan Stewart they have just completed their first penny drive and have raised $2,310.00.
