Theresa Firestone
Theresa is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Theresa is responsible for managing Pfizer Canada's national sales force of over 900 sales and sales support professionals.
She joined Pfizer Canada in January 1999 as Vice President, Government and Public Affairs and was responsible for managing Pfizer Canada's Market Access, Outcomes Research, Pharmacy Relations, Federal Relations, Health Policy and Corporate Affairs group. Prior to joining Pfizer Canada, Theresa served as President and CEO of the Canadian Wholesale Drug Association (CWDA).
Theresa has extensive experience in the healthcare field. Theresa was Director of the Drug Programs Branch with the Ontario Ministry of Health where she was responsible for the overall administration of the largest drug benefit program in North America ($1.3B in 1996, covering 2.5 million people) and for the development and implementation of the Trillium Drug Program, an income-based drug benefit program for employed individuals with high drug costs in relation to income.
Prior to that, Theresa was Director of the Drug Reform Secretariat where she developed strategies for the re-design of Ontario's prescription drug programs, including such initiatives as the implementation of co-payments, and the implementation of an integrated computer network for processing drug claims.
Earlier in her career, Theresa held the position of Director of Ontario's Psychiatric Hospitals Branch where she was responsible for the overall operation of Ontario's ten psychiatric hospitals and, indirectly, a staff of 8,000. Additional experience in healthcare included work in Home Care, Legislation Policy, Public and Mental Health.
Theresa is involved with a number of community groups. She is Vice Chair of the Childhood Cancer Foundation � Candlelighters Canada and is an Honourary Board Member of the Canadian Paraplegic Association. In 1999, the University of Guelph recognized Theresa's long-standing commitment to volunteerism by introducing an annual Student Volunteer Award. The award was inspired by Theresa who, as a University student, invested up to 30 hours a week in volunteer activities.
In 2001, the Montreal Board of Trade honoured Theresa as an Exceptional Woman for her business achievements and exceptional success. In 2002, she was awarded the prestigious Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal.
Theresa is married and the mother of two teenaged children. She enjoys biking, skiing, gardening and canoe tripping.
